Nikolai Bogdanov-Belsky was a Russian painter known for his genre scenes and portraits. He studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts in Saint Petersburg, and later worked as a teacher at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture. Bogdanov-Belsky's work often depicted peasant life, and he was known for his use of bright colours and attention to detail. He was a member of the Union of Russian Artists, and his work was exhibited both in Russia and abroad. Bogdanov-Belsky continued to paint and teach throughout the Soviet period.
