Nikolay Bogdanov-Belsky was a Russian painter born on November 23, 1868, in Shitiki, Russia. He studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, and later became a professor there. Bogdanov-Belsky's work is known for its realistic, detailed depictions of everyday life in rural Russia, as well as its use of bright, vivid colours. Some of his most famous works include "The Village Choir," "The Strawberries," and "Haymaking." Bogdanov-Belsky died on February 3, 1945, in Moscow, Russia.
