Martin Creed is a British conceptual artist known for his playful, minimalist works that often incorporate everyday objects and materials. Creed won the Turner Prize in 2001 for his controversial installation, "The Lights Going On and Off," which consisted of an empty room in which the lights flickered on and off periodically.
