Angus Fairhurst was a British artist born on October 4, 1966, in Pembury, England. He was part of the "Young British Artists" movement and was known for his conceptual art and sculptures, which often explored themes of identity and mortality. Fairhurst's works were exhibited in numerous galleries and museums throughout the world, and he was considered one of the most influential British artists of his generation. He was also a close friend and collaborator of Damien Hirst and Gary Hume. Fairhurst died on March 29, 2008, in Bridge of Orchy, Scotland, and his death was a great loss to the contemporary art world.
