Alexander Tyshler was a Russian painter and graphic artist associated with the avant-garde movements of the early 20th century. He was born in Yekaterinoslav (now Dnipro) and studied at the Kiev Art School and the Moscow Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture. Tyshler was a founding member of the Society of Moscow Artists and participated in numerous exhibitions, including the First Russian Art Exhibition in Berlin in 1922. He is known for his experiments with cubism and his use of bright colours.
