Olga Tobreluts is a contemporary Russian artist born in Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg) in 1970. She studied at the Saint Petersburg Mukhina Art School and the Saint Petersburg Academy of Fine Arts. Tobreluts works in a variety of media including painting, sculpture, installation, video, and digital art. Her art explores themes of identity, gender, power, and the intersection of technology and society. She has been a leading figure in the Russian contemporary art scene since the 1990s and has exhibited her work internationally. In addition to her art practice, Tobreluts is a co-founder of the Creative Association of Curators TOK and the Cyberfest International Festival of Media Art. She has also been involved in art education, teaching at the Russian State Pedagogical University and the Moscow Institute of Contemporary Art.
