Valentin Sidorov

Valentin Sidorov was a Soviet-era painter and graphic artist associated with the Sots Art movement. He studied at the Moscow Polygraphic Institute and began his career as a book illustrator. Sidorov's work often features imagery from Soviet propaganda and is characterised by a sense of irony and satire. He was one of the few Soviet artists to openly criticize the Communist regime and was persecuted by the authorities as a result.
