Dmitry Zhilinsky is a Russian painter and graphic artist. He was born in Moscow and studied at the Surikov Art Institute. Zhilinsky began exhibiting his work in the 1950s and became known for his colourful and expressive paintings, which often feature themes of everyday life and Soviet society. In addition to painting, Zhilinsky also worked as a book illustrator and created designs for theater productions. He has received numerous awards for his work, including the State Prize of the Russian Federation in 2007. Zhilinsky's work is held in collections around the world, including the State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow and the National Art Museum of China in Beijing.
