Nadezhda Udaltsova

Nadezhda Udaltsova was a Russian avant-garde artist and one of the few women associated with the Russian Futurist movement. She was born in Moscow and studied at the Moscow Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture. Udaltsova was a member of the Jack of Diamonds group and exhibited her work in many avant-garde exhibitions, including the famous "The Store" exhibition in Moscow in 1915. She is known for her bold use of colour and her experiments with cubism and constructivism.
