Mikhail Zichy

Mikhail Konstantinovich Zichy was a Hungarian-Russian artist known for his paintings, drawings, and illustrations. He was born in Hungary and trained in St. Petersburg, where he later settled and became a professor at the Imperial Academy of Arts. Zichy's work often depicted historical and mythological subjects, and he was also known for his illustrations of literary works. He was highly regarded in his lifetime and received numerous honors and awards for his art. Today, his works are held in collections around the world, including the State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow and the Hungarian National Gallery in Budapest.
