A Russian painter and graphic artist, Evgeny Tikhmenev was a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. He was particularly known for his landscape paintings, often depicting the countryside of Russia and Ukraine. Tikhmenev also worked as a book illustrator, creating illustrations for classic works of Russian literature. His work has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout Russia, and he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation in 1995.
