Konstantin Somov was a Russian painter and graphic artist associated with the Mir Iskusstva ("World of Art") movement. He is best known for his portraits, still lifes, and genre scenes, which often depict the decadent lifestyle of the Russian aristocracy in the early 20th century. Somov was also a prolific illustrator and designed sets and costumes for the theater.
