Igor Grabar

Igor Grabar was a Russian and Soviet painter, art historian, and art critic. He was born in Budapest, Hungary, and studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. He became one of the founders of the Russian school of impressionism and was also known for his landscapes, portraits, and still-life paintings. In addition to his artistic career, Grabar was a renowned art historian and worked as the Director of the Tretyakov Gallery and the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts.
